MAC Chatterbox Lipstick has been around for quite some time already. I had also been lemming for it and wanting to buy it since a few years ago.
But it seems that every time I go to a MAC store, I get distracted with their other products. It had only been last week when I went to the MAC Store in Mall of Asia that I finally remembered to ask for it.
Oh, wow! This is the lipstick that I keep forgetting to buy? It is a very pretty pink that looks great as an everyday lipstick and also awesome for nights out.

MAC Chatterbox Lipstick is classified as a bright red-pink with an amplified creme finish. In the bullet, it looks like a medium rosy pink.
Personal Experience
When swatches on my arm, it is not so noticeable how cool-toned MAC Chatterbox Lipstick really is. I believe that this color would work best on those with light to medium skin tones and light-colored lips. But it could also work on those with pigmented lips as long as a lip liner is used.
MAC Chatterbox Lipstick Swatches
MAC Chatterbox Lipstick is a bit light in color but is still pigmented. It is already semi-opaque with just 1 swipe. With 2 or more layers, a more opaque coverage can be achieved.
The texture of MAC Chatterbox Lipstick is very creamy, making it really easy to apply. It glides easily on the lips and does not tug at all. It applies evenly across the lips and does not settle into lip lines.
I didn’t experience any feathering, but if you’re prone to feathering, then you might want to line your lips first.
Performance and Finish
MAC Chatterbox Lipstick has a creamy satin finish, but after about an hour or two, the satin sheen is gone and it becomes a little bit more matte. You can also simply blot it with a clean tissue paper to get a more matte finish. I personally like to blot it because MAC Chatterbox Lipstick looks better on me when it’s matte-like and not as creamy as when freshly applied.
Application Tips
☆ Exfoliate the lips well.
☆ Moisturize lips with a good lip balm. After 10 to 20 minutes, blot with a clean tissue paper to remove excess shine.
☆ Apply lip primer like MAC Prep+Prime Lip and wait for it to become tacky, about a minute.
☆ Apply 1 layer of MAC Chatterbox Lipstick then blot with a tissue.
☆ Apply a second layer of the lipstick and blot again.
☆ Apply a third layer either on the whole lips or only on the center parts of the lips so it will appear fuller. Blot ever so lightly, just so it wouldn’t stain your teeth.
Color
The color of MAC Chatterbox Lipstick on my lips is a slightly cool-toned bright yet light pink. I love that it doesn’t suck the moisture from my lips although it’s not as long-lasting as my other MAC matte lipsticks. It lasts around 4 to 5 hours on my lips and after eating and drinking, reapplication is required.

Where to buy?
I bought MAC Chatterbox Lipstick for #14 from MAC store. It is part of the Permanent line of MAC’s lipsticks so I can use it up without fear of not being able to replace it because I can always buy more. Alternatively, it can also be bought here and here for $16.
Final Words
I love the vanilla scent of MAC Lipsticks and the very cute packaging of their regular lipsticks. MAC Chatterbox Lipstick should have been part of my Best Pink Lipsticks.
But since it hadn’t been released just this year, I couldn’t include it on that list. MAC Chatterbox Lipstick is a timeless beauty.
It is a very pretty pink that looks great as an everyday lipstick, but also awesome for evening wear paired with a smokey eye makeup.
